Catching up with the talented, gifted and creatively designed Mr. Joe Walker.  The Champ, Bio Writer, Journalist, Content Creator, Host, Managing editor/co-founder of THISENT.com.  With a portfolio as expansive as his writing archive, he is truly one to know.  Check out what he has to say!

◆ How are you doing on this amazing day?
I’m doing fantastically well, AJ! Thank you for asking! And since you mentioned today, it’s appropriate that I note that I took the liberty of filling my gut with a couple Oreo cookies, a few cherry sours, a reasonable portion of Starburst jellybeans, a Cella’s chocolate covered cherry, and a slice of cheesecake. So, the best part about being fantastically well on this amazing day is that, remarkably, no part of it was tarnished by a stomachache.

◆ Writers are known for having thoughts at any given time.  When do you have your best ideas?
I’m plagued by my own creativity. Ideas are constantly tumbling off my conveyer belt with me trying to catch them in my left hand while working to bring the ones in my write hand to life. I know an idea’s the best one when it encourages, inspires, or impacts someone else in a profound way.

◆ If you had to give a title to the blueprint of your life, what would it be called?
Bruised: The Black and Blueprint.

◆ Do you remember the first time you brought ink to paper?
No. I do, however, remember creating written and illustrated storybooks for my classmates in kindergarten.

◆ Other than writing, tell us what else you love that gets your heart pumping.
I love my family and I love my friends, and I enjoy bringing them all together at my place for a homecooked meal. Especially Super Bowl Sunday. My grandmother Annie Belle (RIP) would regularly prepare feast-level meals. So, I do the same for those large-gathering occasions. I enjoy the creative aspect of cooking as much as I do writing. Watching people enjoy the food makes it all worth it.

◆ The writing community is a huge network of authors, creators and so much more, do you ever feel pressured to perform based on what others are doing?
I support the writing community, I applaud the writing community, and I hope I inspire the writing community. I feel pressured to perform based on what I’ve done, what I’m doing, and what I still obsessively desire to do.

◆ Have you ever googled yourself?
Yes. When I saw my picture pop up with the results, I said to myself, “Ugh. Hide your face.”

◆ Writers block is commonly heard of, but have you ever experienced readers block?  If so, how do you pause and reset your brain?
With texting, email, and social media posts, there’s very, very rarely a time when I’m not reading something. I’m not sure I’ve ever learned to reset my brain and I’m certainly not certain I’d want to if I could.

◆ You are given free plane tickets to go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
To the future: Tokyo, Japan.

◆ In your opinion, what truly defines a writer?
A writer is defined by the person they are when they’re writing. Who are they? What are they saying? What’s been said and done to them that makes them write what they write? Words are powerful and they’re meant to be shared. But is that power electric, is it kinetic, or does it come from man-made or God-made light?
◆ How many published books do you have and what are you working on next?
Published: 0. Creating: Several.

◆ If you could go in reverse, what would you tell the young Mr. Joe Walker?
Don’t ever go backwards. Keep moving forward and help as many people as you can along the way.

◆ Where do you pull your inspiration from?
Optimism. An empty bag is full of opportunity and so is my life. That’s inspiring.

◆ In closing, is there anything else you would like to say?
Yes, AJ. I’d like you to know that I’m still doing fantastically well despite the remarkable amount of junk food I ate today. My stomach is fine, my mind is too, and thank you for letting me empty my write hand. Now that you know me a little more…I hope I changed your life!

Inspiration comes in many forms and Mr. Walker is no exception.  I sincerely thank you for taking the time to chat with me!

Optimism is like an empty bag full of opportunity. Thank you dear Sir💞. I just changed my outlook on a few things. Don't stop writing!
