If you know anything about me, you know how much I love every single aspect of gardening. With the exception of a few insects here and there, however, that is par for the course. It's an acquired taste. Gardening that is. With it comes a natural endorphin releasing, stress relieving, and therapeutic hobby that will either leave you vowing to never attempt to plant again or will ignite a passion within you that will become both addictive and unstoppable. On a scale of things that are healthy addictions, this is without question, one of them. Do you like playing in the dirt? Or are you afraid to get your hands dirty? Well, grab a pair of cute garden gloves or get down and dirty with it and feel the earth between your fingers. The choice is all yours my friends. I've planted vegetables, flowers that bloom all year, flowers that bloom once, annuals, perennials, and the list goes on. Beautiful displays of bright and vibrant colors that pop with colors brighter than any filter, to fresh and crisp veggies I could just pick off when I was preparing something special. Once you take the time to truly get into it, you will be amazed at how much you actually enjoy it. I have fallen in love with numerous gardens, but it goes without saying that the display my mother and sister have cultivated is one of thee most beautiful I have ever seen. The front of the house is a color show you really need to see for yourself. Draped in roses, zinnias, petunias, lilies, hydrangeas, and coleus, to the sides of the house where you will find climbing roses, lavender, hostas, and a few other beautiful flowers that will leave you in an awe dropping trance. "We might think we are nurturing our garden, but of course it's our garden that is really nurturing us." -Jenny UglowThere are many ways to kick off your garden. Gardening in the ground to gardening in pots, or even gardening in your window sill. The point is, there is no wrong way, do what works for you. It is the most uncomplicated hobby there is. Overthinking a garden will cause you to never delve into the greatness that lies ahead. Head over to your local garden store, grab a few plants, a bag of dirt with cute pots to match and you are in business! The great thing about gardening is no one is truly a master, you might have a good season and you might not. There are plants I have attempted to grow that just didn't work for me, so I tried something different. As I continue on this tour of my moms garden, let's take a peek into the back yard oasis. Oh, you thought I was done? Not even close! If you are feeling overwhelmed, don't be. It is as simple as digging a hole and planting seeds or grabbing a few starter plants to try your hand at gardening. For a stress free, time-consuming, yet rewarding project, this is it. The best part about gardening is once your plants have matured, and they are in full bloom. What an accomplishment! Pat yourself on the back and brag a little, you deserve it. I guarantee this will be a hobby you will return to time and time again. If you are still scratching your head wondering how to get started, take a look at my post on 'Gardening Made Easy' for easy and simple to follow steps. Every picture has a backdrop and the little red house in my moms backyard serves as the perfect canvas. In closing, I leave you with a few additional pictures of natural and splendid beauty. ~AJ 🌹

Awww, thanks Jesse! Start small with an inside plant which by the way does very well right in your window. You know what they say, if at first you don't succeed! 🪴
